Brian is one of our friendly and caring optometrists at Woonona Eyecare. He is passionate about ensuring patients are treated with the great care and consideration. Whether it’s in education, at work, home or through recreation, it’s important that your vision is optimal so that you can live life to the full. This is reflected in Brian’s core values as he’s always up for a chat and puts quality patient care first.

He graduated from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) with a Bachelor of Optometry and Bachelor of Science (Vision Science) with Honours and has experience in rural and overseas eyecare. He has practiced consistently in full-scope optometry in various areas of metropolitan and regional Sydney. Being a therapeutically endorsed optometrist, Brian can prescribe eye drops to manage a wide range of ocular conditions including eye infections, foreign bodies and glaucoma.

 

Brian has particular interest in the fitting of specialty contact lenses and the field of myopia control. He specialises in designing and fitting OrthoK lenses and is a member of the Orthokeratology Society of Oceania (OSO). This also extends to using contact lenses as a lifestyle enhancing optical solution and in particular eye conditions such as keratoconus.

Brian has experience in paediatric optometry and loves to see children from all ages and backgrounds. Being a father himself, he’s committed to seeing children have the best start to their formative years by ensuring clear and comfortable vision.

Brian loves spending time with his wife and two young children. He’s passionate about all things travel, anything sports and great food and coffee.
