Emily Langley

Optometrist

Emily is one of our friendly and caring optometrists at Woonona Eyecare. She is passionate about providing optical solutions to ensure everyone can learn, work and enjoy life as best as possible. Emily’s core focus is making sure she understands everyone’s vision or eye concern and takes the time to explain things thoroughly.

Emily completed a Master of Clinical Optometry and Bachelor of Science (Vision Science) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). She is a therapeutically endorsed optometrist, allowing her to prescribe topical medications to manage a wide variety of ocular health conditions, including eye infections, dry eye and glaucoma.

Emily loves working with children and is passionate about providing children the best start to their education, with a special interest in understanding how their visual system is functioning. This extends to ensuring children and teenagers with short-sightedness (myopia) are managed appropriately to reduce long-term vision consequences.

Emily also has a thorough understanding of how dry eye affects people’s lifestyle and aims to provide management options to improve people’s eye comfort, including performing IPL (Intense Pulsed Light).

Emily lives in the Sutherland Shire with her husband, a high school teacher. In her leisure time, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching any cricket game she can.
